Annie Farman

Director of Sustainability for Outside Lands Music Festival

Annie Farman is a sustainability leader working at the intersection of entertainment, culture, and climate action. As Director of Sustainability for Outside Lands Music Festival, she spearheads initiatives across festival operations including production, food/beverage, waste management, power, water refill, reuse programs, and fan engagement. With more than two decades of experience, she has developed programs for major festivals including Outside Lands and Bonnaroo, advised artists and industry organizations, and currently serves on the Executive Advisory Board of Plastic Pollution Coalition and the Music Sustainability Alliance Industry Council. She co-founded CodeRed Climate, mobilizing more than 130 artists and cultural leaders in support of federal climate legislation, helping build artist momentum behind the Inflation Reduction Act—the largest climate investment in U.S. history. She co-hosts the radio talk show, Planet OZ, on New Orleans’ WWOZ, spotlighting people and initiatives driving sustainability through music and culture.
