Chief Operating Officer of End Overdose

Maddie Ward is the Chief Operating Officer of End Overdose, a national nonprofit transforming how communities respond to the overdose crisis through education, training, and nationwide distribution of naloxone and fentanyl test strips. End Overdose conducts outreach at music festivals across the country, partnering with Insomniac, Goldenvoice, Breakaway, and VenueNation to bring life-saving tools and training directly to event-goers and staff.

Maddie began her journey with End Overdose at UCLA, where she co-founded and led the first End Overdose university chapter for 2.5 years, launching initiatives that reached thousands. She has since served as Programs Coordinator and Director of Operations before stepping into her current role as COO, where she builds sustainable programs and strategic partnerships that expand the organization’s reach nationwide.

Her leadership has been recognized with the UCLA Chancellor’s Service Award, two finalist honors for the Charles E. Young Humanitarian Award, and recognition as a BruinLife Senior of the Year. Maddie is passionate about leveraging technology, education, and community empowerment to make lifesaving resources accessible wherever they are needed most.
