Mckenna Elliot

McKenna Elliott is a powerhouse vocalist and songwriter redefining the dark femme indie pop genre. With a voice that effortlessly bridges the soul-stirring depth of Adele and the commanding energy of Whitney Houston, McKenna stands apart in a world often saturated with delicate whispers. Her sound spans from soulful ballads to electrifying anthems—it bridges the intimate and the epic, and captivates audiences with every note.

Influenced by iconic artists like Olivia Dean, Kacey Musgraves, Lizzy McAlpine, and Fleetwood Mac, McKenna’s music is a blend of introspection, emotional intensity, and vibrant storytelling. A Berklee College of Music senior, she’s honing her craft in Vocal Performance while mastering the art of teaching contemporary voice. Between her studies in Boston and her hometown of Santa Barbara, CA, the youngest of the Voracious Records roster is channeling her life experiences into her debut self-titled EP, set to release in Spring 2025.

A history of accolades highlight McKenna’s growth as a vocalist and performer. She has been performing since she could speak, and her early background in musical theater saw her awarded both Performer of the Year and Outstanding Performer with MTCA. She’s worked with local legends Kenny Loggins, Tariq Akoni and Randy Tiko, and of late has large shows to her credit including Teen Star Finalist two years running, performing for 2000 people. She’s headlined on Santa Barbara’s numerous main stages, the Polo Fields, the Yacht Club, and a host of other clubs, and has also been interviewed on local radio and collaborates with Santa Barbara musicians as well as Berklee grads.

McKenna’s music resonates with the essence of the dark feminine: a striking balance of vulnerability, power, and unapologetic authenticity. Through her lyrically-driven songs, she tackles themes of heartbreak, longing, and growth with a rawness that invites listeners to confront their own emotions. "My music is about finding my way through hard lessons. I want to create music that is honest, vulnerable, and relatable—for others more than just for myself. I want people to know they’re not alone in their own journey," she says.

With her versatile voice, narrative focus, and commanding stage presence, McKenna Elliott’s star continues to rise. She invites her audience into a space where complexity and emotion intertwine, and remains dedicated to creating music that connects, inspires, and will leave a lasting impact on the indie pop landscape.
