Executive Director of Backline

Hilary Gleason is the Executive Director of Backline, a non-profit that provides mental health and wellness resources to music industry families. She co-founded Backline in October 2019, after spearheading a series of conversations across the music industry that illuminated the critical need for increased access to customized mental health resources for a community in crisis. Today, Backline has invested over $5 million into the music industry community and created over 3,000 custom care plans for industry professionals through its Case Management program. In 2025, Pollstar named Hilary an Impact 50 Honoree, and Backline was awarded with Tour Services Company of the Year at the annual Pollstar Awards. In January 2026, Backline launched B-LINE, a 24/7 mental health and crisis support line created exclusively for the music industry (call 855-BLINE99 or text 254-639 to get connected).
