Peter Baxter is President and Co-Founder of the Slamdance Film Festival and a filmmaker. Peter has been responsible for developing and managing all areas of Slamdance, which has become synonymous with the discovery of emerging talent. Peter’s film work includes directing Spirit Game a documentary about the Haudenosaunee’s battle to win a world Lacrosse championship that premiered on Starz and is part of the Smithsonian permanent collection, producing HBO’s six part series Q: Into The Storm and Netflix’s Day Shift, which became the most watched feature film in the world during August, 2022. In 2025, Peter executive produced Henry Johnson, directed by David Mamet.
