Wine Travel Media Personality and Wine Travel Writer

Jamie Knee, known globally as the Petite Wine Traveler, is a wine travel media personality and luxury wine and wine travel writer who specializes in destination storytelling and bespoke wine experiences around the world.

Recognized as one of the Top 50 Most Influential Women in Wine, Hospitality and Media, she brings together wine, travel, and culture for audiences across television, print, and live events.

Jamie is the creator, host, and co-producer of Petite Wine Traveler Explores, a ten-episode wine, travel, and hospitality series currently in production and slated to air on PBS in 2026. She served as Director of the Santa Barbara Culinary Experience from 2024 to 2025, a nonprofit in partnership with the Julia Child Foundation that celebrates Santa Barbara culinary and viticultural excellence.

An accomplished international wine professional, Jamie regularly judges for leading competitions including the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, Berliner Wein Trophy, Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, Central Coast Wine Competition, California State Fair Wine Competition, and others. Her credentials include Certified Specialist of Wine, WSET certified, Sommelier I, Spanish Wine Scholar, Rioja Educator, Cava Educator, Champagne Expert, American Wine Expert, and California Wine Appellation Specialist.

Jamie is a wine travel columnist for the Montecito Journal, where she authors a weekly column, and she writes a weekly wine travel publication on her Petite Wine Traveler Substack. She is a regular contributor to the Santa Barbara Independent and has written for publications including Somm Journal, Tasting Panel, Slow Wine Guide, Napa Magazine, Sonoma County Gazette, and BevNet. 

She also appears regularly as the on-air wine specialist for KEYT NewsChannel 3-12, sharing wine travel stories, expert insights, and regional highlights with viewers across the Central Coast.

She serves on the Board of Santa Barbara TV and the Board of the Association for Women in Communications, and is an active member of the Circle of Wine Writers, the International Food, Wine and Travel Writers Association, and Women of the Vine and Spirits. 

Through her writing, judging, and on-camera work, Jamie continues to connect people, places, and stories, one glass of wine at a time.
