Jacqueline Blaylock

Jacqueline Blaylock is a founder and partner of The BLK Collective Media Group, the parent company of The BLK Film & Entertainment Collective, The BLK Collective Foundation, and The Reel Collective—entities united by a shared mission to advance the global presence of Black filmmakers, creatives, and storytellers. Through this work, Blaylock continues to shape platforms that foster access, opportunity, and long-term sustainability for underrepresented voices in entertainment.
A dynamic entertainment executive, Blaylock’s leadership acumen and extensive managerial experience have made her a force in the industry, with skills that seamlessly transfer across industries and business sectors. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management from California State University, Los Angeles, and has built a career defined by strategic vision, resource optimization, and innovative problem-solving. Her ability to inspire and guide diverse teams while aligning efforts with organizational goals is evident across film, television, and event production.
As president of Locklin Entertainment Media Group (LEMG), and a producer and partner at Free Rein Films, Blaylock has demonstrated her expertise in bringing film and television projects to life. Her leadership journey also includes serving as president of Duke Media, the production company of acclaimed director Bill Duke, and spearheading operations, strategic planning, and programming as a partner and former executive director of the Hollywood Black Film Festival (HBFF).
Blaylock’s career is marked by notable accomplishments, including curating content for television specials such as African American Filmmakers and serving as a production coordinator for NBC’s Roots: Celebrating 25 Years. Her tenure as Director of Creative Affairs for filmmaker Roy Campanella II, along with more than a decade at The Walt Disney Company in television development, further solidified her expertise in creative affairs. During this time, she contributed to beloved series including Boy Meets World, Home Improvement, and Ellen.
Her foundational experience with the Directors Guild of America strengthened her administrative and operational skill set, while her board membership with HBFF and past involvement with the National Association of Female Executives underscore her commitment to mentorship and community impact. Blaylock’s ability to optimize resources, foster collaboration, and introduce innovative strategies reflects a leadership capacity that extends well beyond entertainment.
