Adam McCurdie

Co-founder of Humanitix

Adam McCurdie is a social entrepreneur reshaping the events industry through innovation and impact. As the co-founder of Humanitix, Adam launched a bold idea: transform event ticketing—a historically profit-driven industry—into a powerful engine for social good. Humanitix reinvests 100% of booking fee profits into high-impact education programs and has already directed millions of dollars to local charities supporting disadvantaged children, Indigenous scholarships, literacy programs, and more.

Humanitix also pioneers in accessibility, with features that improve the event experience for patrons with disabilities, ensuring inclusion is baked into the platform's design from the ground up.

Under Adam’s leadership, Humanitix has evolved from a startup dream into a global platform adopted by festivals, schools, conferences, and major cultural events. It’s the first not-for-profit ticketing platform to scale internationally, disrupting a multi-billion-dollar industry while staying true to its mission.

Adam’s visionary work has been recognized with major awards, including the Google Impact Challenge, the Westpac Top 20 Businesses of Tomorrow, and being named Social Entrepreneur of the Year by the Schwab Foundation and the World Economic Forum.

A former engineer turned purpose-driven founder, Adam is passionate about using technology as a tool for systemic change. He frequently speaks on topics including social enterprise, ethical tech, and innovation for impact, and is driven by a belief that the business world can—and should—do better by people and planet.
