The year 1969 turned life upside for Ticia Bernuth Agri as it did for many of the people who became part of the original crew of the “The Aquarian Exposition: 3 Days of Peace & Music – more universally known now simply as the single word “Woodstock”.
Before becoming Michael Lang’s aide, right hand, protector and side kick Agri had visited 72 countries between ages 19 though 21, and attended college at NYU, Columbia and Suny where she graduated mastering Italian, French and Spanish as well.
Even those astonishing adventures could barely have prepared Agri or anyone for Woodstock, yet her calm demeanor, gravity and equanimity, served the Festival and producer Michael Lang well. Agri’s attitude contributed greatly to the reassurance often needed at any given time that Woodstock could indeed unfold as it did.
Involved in every aspect and every negotiation, with Michael Lang at her side, Ticia Agri was everywhere and part of everything that was happening, often all at once.
Following Woodstock Agri became a body worker specializing in The Rolf Technique - Structural Integration and other healing modalities for over 30 years. She married, raised two children and studied Plant Spirit Medicine, Integrative Manual Therapy and Shamanism as well. Agri opened The Light and Healing Center in Exeter NH raising money for the Bon Tibetan Orphanage and Temple in India housing Tibetan refugees. Her recent work includes The Ribbon Breath Meditation teaching and she is currently writing a book “Journey to Woodstock”.
Agri is a part of the circle of Woodstock veterans who regularly gather to recall and remember the vision that animated the creation of the Festival which many of those original crew continue to embrace – one of Peace and Love. Agri lives in Maine with her family
