Simon Rust Lamb

Simon Rust Lamb has dedicated his career to producing positive, memorable, one-of-a-kind events. With over 20 years experience in the live music space, he has navigated all facets of this dynamic business, from legal, press, permits, venue relations, local politics, crisis management, and collaborations with local authorities. An avid entertainment observer and scholar, Mr. Lamb has written numerous articles, and taught Select Topics in Live Entertainment Law for Southwestern Law School. He champions electronic music culture throughout all of his endeavors.

He was the COO and General Counsel at Insomniac, a key member of the Electric Daisy Carnival and Wonderland event series production team. Simon was also an Executive Producer on UNDER THE ELECTRIC SKY, the EDC LV 2013 documentary that premiered at Sundance Film Festival in 2014, and is distributed by Focus Features.

He launched his first entertainment business, the limited edition music 'zine NOMIS, while still in college. Next, Simon co-founded the annual Dune desert music festival. Simultaneously, he founded tastemaker independent record label Fragrant Music. Simon's music and motion picture interests first intersected at the Sundance Film Festival, where he booked talent for festival events.

Energized by the film festival marketplace, he enrolled in law school and focused on entertainment law. Simon graduated magna cum laude. Simon's experience spans live events, motion picture, television, music, publishing and new media. At his clerkship at Warner Brothers Pictures, he worked on legal clearances for films including “OCEAN’S 13.” As a clerk at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, he focused on music business transactions. As an attorney at Lionsgate, he shepherded a bevy of motion pictures through delivery.
