Rob Weekes

In 1997 while on shore duty in the Navy on active-duty Rob was first introduced to entertainment security as a part-time security staff member at Blockbuster Pavilion in Devore, CA.. Rob quickly emerged from the ranks into more supervisory roles and established himself as leader moving into a venue operations position with SFX, later Clear Channel, which is now Live Nation. His ability to successfully manage events gained him much attention and ultimately elevated him to high profile positions managing the security aspects in festivals, amphitheaters, touring, and numerous special events. Rob has been instrumental in the early development of safety and security plans during the opening stages for several facilities and special events.

Rob retired from the Navy in 2010, moving into an entertainment position at San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino.  For the next three years Rob set the standard in entertainment, managing a lounge, night club, and the main event room from load-in to load-out to include his face and voice opening nearly every event as the MC.  The experience gained during his three-year hitch at San Manuel established is path to a high standard of performance.

After leaving the casino, Rob took on security management roles with Goldenvoice, Live Nation, and independently with 12 new and upcoming festivals.  Rob also had his run booking and promoting the NAMM Rock n Bowl raising money for the Wounded Warrior Foundation, a handful of youth music events, and VIP services for Veterans through his company Black Ticket VIP.

Come 2015 Rob was involved in 26 different events to include all the major music award ceremonies, some of the largest music festivals at home and abroad, along with training and tours.  Just as an offer was on the table to tour with a major artist, Rob was offered a job as the Director of Security for Insomniac Events.  Understanding the challenges from the past, Rob quickly established protocols which lowered guest issues and raised the bar for the company's safety which assisted in Insomniac's return to Los Angeles.  During his time with Insomniac, Rob was asked to assist in writing protocols for Live Nation Festivals where his input will have a positive effect on live music for years to come.

At the end of 2018 marked a big change for Rob as he started his own safety and security management company known as LIVE Management Consulting (LMC).  Since the beginning, LMC has been involved in events and tours all over the world.  LMC is known as "The Fixers", going into events to fix past issues and help promoters get back on track operationally and on budget.  LMC currently manages safety for a wide range of clients internationally and focuses on the safety of all.

In 2021 Rob went on a 52-stop national bus tour with Post Modern Jukebox.  As the COVID Compliance Manager there were zero COVID cases, zero cancellations, which were plaguing the touring industry.   In 2022 Rob took on the role of Security Director for The STROKES Band for Headline Security Management Ltd.  The STROKES started the year with festivals in South America, Europe, and Australia later joining the Red Hot Chili Peppers in the U.S., ending the year with a few private events.
