Kat Cody is a freelance event professional passionate about music, community, and creating unforgettable experiences. With expertise in managing complex logistics, leading teams, and turning ideas into reality, Kat specializes in producing high-impact events that leave lasting impressions on fans, artists, and crews. She leads by fostering creativity, collaboration, organization, and adaptability in every project.
Kat’s diverse career spans concerts, festivals, private events, rodeos, esports, conferences, fashion shows, brand activations, and online events where she helps to produce experiences with top-tier artists, venues, promoters, and brands. She’s currently a full-time freelancer and has held key roles at major festivals, including Operations Manager for the Outdoor Theatre Stage at Coachella, Artist Relations Manager & Production Coordinator at Ohana and Palm Tree Music Festivals, Event Manager for Orville Peck’s Rodeo, Project Manager (Booking) at Vans Warped Tour 2025, and Production Coordinator at Camp Flog Gnaw. She has a proven track record as an elite local and touring production coordinator working with promoters and artists at theaters, arenas, and stadiums. Kat's experience extends to roles in box office, guest list, security, merchandise, hospitality, and working with major companies like Her Universe, 50/50 Women on Boards, TwitchCon, and TikTok producing in-person and online events.
She started her career in Michigan as a freelancer doing anything in music, then moved to California to intern for the Vans Warped Tour and Live Nation before landing a full-time position at Danny Wimmer Presents. There, she honed her marketing skills before discovering her true passion for live event production. Kat transitioned to the Kevin Lyman Group, where she worked across multiple roles, contributing to major projects like the Vans Warped Tour 25th Anniversary, the World Surf League’s Freshwater Pro, Punk Rock Bowling, 320 Festival, Player Omega, and more.
When the pandemic began in 2020, Kat pivoted to freelancing full-time producing online events and working as a COVID compliance officer for film and live events. Since then, she’s remained a full-time freelancer working with Live Nation, AEG, Goldenvoice, Independent Promoters, A-list artists, iconic venues, and various production/event companies.
A firm believer in the power of music to change the world, Kat hopes to create events that inspire, connect, and leave lasting memories. She is dedicated to constantly learning from everyone around her and helping develop a new generation of event professionals.
