Hamish Pinkham is the co-founder / director of Rhythm and Vines - New Zealand's premier live music festival and first place in the world to bring in the new year. Having started their flagship music festival in Gisborne, NZ while at University in Otago as a ‘party for friends’, the festival has seen considerable growth in the last 21 years, going from a 1,800 gathering of mates to a sold out 30,000 revellers at its peak. The festival has featured international acts such as Chance the Rapper, Calvin Harris and Major Lazer and was voted one of the top 5 placed to bring in the New Year by The Guardian in London. His company also launched a sister new years festival – ’Rhythm and Alps’ in Wanaka, NZ, now in its twelfth year.

In 2019 Hamish launched the Phoenix Summit - a one day meeting of creative minds held in Auckland NZ and featuring leading creative visionaries such as John Legends manager, Lady Gaga's Creative Director and the former head of MTV Europe. His goal is to create a platform to help inspire and NZ's creative community through networking and collaboration.

Hamish is also a co-founder / Director of Endeavour Live - NZ's friendliest promoter of live events - having conceived and delivered some of the country's best loved music events including Fatboy Slim, Carl Cox, Mac Miller, John Butler Trio, Angus and Julia Stone, Wilkinson, Netsky and more. Festivals brands since 2017 include The Golden Run, Touch Bass, Electric Gardens, Quiet Please, Spring City, Island Time and Breakout Presents.

A qualified lawyer and musician himself with his own band and musical project, Hamish was recently announced as a finalist for the EY Entrepreneur of the Year awards.  Hamish is passionate about the development of the music, events, tourism and creative industries both at home and abroad.
