First time founder and CEO of Rave Me Away, Charles Hinnant, is a native of Connecticut and received his undergraduate degree in Political Science with a dual minor in History and Sociology from the College of Charleston in South Carolina. Upon graduation, Charles set off to fulfill a childhood dream of visiting Hobbiton in New Zealand. He spent six-months solo backpacking New Zealand and Australia and partaking in every extreme adventure from skydiving, bungee jumping, glacier hiking and diving the great barrier reef before returning to the United States and launching his career.
Charles joined the advanced advertising sales team as a Media Coordinator at Dish Media in New York City. He spent three years learning the business from the ground up working across multiple account desks serving major agency holding companies such as WPP as well as Cadent, Place Media, Continuum and FreeWheel. Managing client campaign maintenance with daily tasks including deal order entry, brand allocations, make goods, pre/post logs analytics, and invoicing. Understanding that he was more interested in the creative side of advertising, Charles set his sites on gaining a greater understanding of the intricacies of Marketing, Charles left Dish Media to pursue a graduate degree from Georgetown University in Integrated Marketing and Communications. Charles graduated from Georgetown in May of 2023.
While at Georgetown, Charles entered the Spring 2022 Pitch Competition and as awarded a spot in the Summer 2022 launch incubator for his development of Rave Me Away, an emergency alert and tracking system designed to improve response times at Live Events. Since earning his master’s degree, Charles has dedicated himself full-time to his start up Rave Me Away.
In his free time, Charles attends music festivals and live concerts, plays golf and is an avid football fan and gamer.
