Brandon McEachern

Founder and CEO of the Broccoli City Festival and Think Broccoli, LLC.

The BC Festival, started in 2013, has grown significantly every year. In addition to the festival that takes place every year in Washington, D.C., the team has raised awareness of community service and has promoted over 60,000 hours of community service with their mobile application We Chip’N.

Brandon has also overseen the development of projects which seek to create socially impactful solutions to alleviate the problem of food deserts in urban communities, and provide access to fresh local produce to build health equity in urban sections of Washington D.C. In 2018, Brandon and his team opened the Broccoli City Bar, a partnership with &pizza in the Shaw District in Washington, DC.

While many of Broccoli City’s major projects are facilitated in the D.C. area, Brandon has created a major impact on the west coast. He consulted with Aja Brown, Mayor of Compton, CA, to help create the first Healthy Compton Initiative. As a North Carolina native and resident of Los Angeles, Brandon has been featured and honored in publications such as Forbes, Billboard, Black Enterprise, Essence, Revolt, and Boardroom. He served as the Fall 2022 Commencement Speaker of his alma mater, North Carolina Central University.

In January 2019, Broccoli City took another huge step by partnering with Live Nation to expand the production of various events. The venture is Think Broccoli LIVE. Brandon has booked and led production for events such as Lights On Festival, ROOTS Picnic, Jazz in the Garden, BET EXPERIENCE, and more.
