AFA is a NYC based talent and marketing agency with a focus on social impact events run BY artists FOR artists.
Beginning his career in the industry as an artist/songwriter/performer, Matthew and his Co-Founder/bandmate Neal Saini identified a gap in the market for creative business leaders that had both the knowledge and empathy to navigate the increasingly complex, changing landscapes of music, live events and social impact. With clientele as diverse as breakthrough artists, world leaders, CEOs, innovative music companies, films and causes, AFA has carved out its niche in bringing the worlds of talent, marketing and social impact together.
In his latest venture, Artist For Action, Matthew partnered with fellow musician and Sandy Hook Promise Co-Founder/CEO Mark Barden to create a platform, concert series and growing coalition of artists (including Billie Eilish, Peter Gabriel and Sheryl Crow) to address the gun violence epidemic in the US.
Prior to founding AFA Matthew was the Vice President of DASVentures where he oversaw The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus and John Lennon Songwriting Contest with a focus on developing partnerships, programming and producing live events/festival experiences with companies such as Apple, Canon, Gibson and Juniper Networks.
At his core Matthew is a fierce advocate for driving positive change in the world through creativity.
