Christopher Breedlove

Director of Civic Activation at Burning Man Project

Christopher Breedlove is an American designer, community builder, and experiential producer. As the Director of Civic Activation at the Burning Man Project in San Francisco, California, he oversees several programs, including Burners Without Borders (BWB), the Regional Network, and Art Activation programs. He also supports the Burning Man Environmental Sustainability Roadmap. Through these initiatives, Christopher focuses on participant engagement strategies at the Black Rock City event and beyond, bringing the culture and principles of Burning Man to life through arts, events, community development, and civic impact. This work encompasses in-person and online meetups, conferences, summits, grantmaking, prototyping, and toolkit creation.

As an educator, Christopher speaks on topics such as Burning Man culture, design thinking for social impact, community building, sustainability & regenerative culture, and art as a medium for social dialogue. He also conducts workshops on democratic grant giving, human-centered design (HCD), and collaborative effigy building.

Christopher has previously worked with other festivals, including Electric Forest, Rothbury, Symbiosis, Envision and Infrasound, focusing on arts, community engagement, and educational offerings.
