Skip Martin is a Grammy Award winning artist, songwriter, producer and author, best known for his tenure as a lead singer and trumpeter for two legendary groups, Kool & the Gang and The Dazz Band.

His achievements include MOBO Outstanding Achievement Award, Platinum & Gold Record recipient, R&B Song of the Year, six consecutive Top 100 albums, two Top 100 singles, to name a few. He is also a music savant as Skip was the youngest person ever to perform at Monterey Jazz.

With his newest project, “People Get Ready”, Skip asked 28 of his musician friends to be a part of this heartfelt crusade to aid the children of St. Jude Research Hospital during COVID – artists include Stevie Wonder, Taylor Dayne, Neal McCoy, Ray Parker Jr., John Elefante, Kevin Chalfant, Doug E Fresh, Robert Kool Bell, Pastor John P Kee and more.
