Documentary Filmmaker and Multi-Platform Journalist

NICOLE NOREN is a documentary filmmaker and multi-platform journalist who made more than 50 short documentaries for ESPN, and now heads her own production company. A recipient of six Emmys, two Edward R. Murrow Awards and a Peabody, Noren has reported extensively on education, health and social issues.

Noren's latest film, THE GREEN TRUCK, is premiering at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival in 2026. Her immersive survival documentary MISSING AT SEA was released on Nat Geo Youtube in March 2025, and her film BETSY & IRV won a Sports Emmy in 2023. Noren's investigative documentary LISTEN has been viewed by over six million people on YouTube and is used by law enforcement officials and schools across the country as a training tool.

Noren is currently EP’ing and directing an independent feature-length investigative documentary on the 2019 MV Conception fire. She was also the programming manager of the inaugural Wild & Free Film Festival in Goleta in 2025.
