Kristin Owen is the COO and Co-Founder of DoStuff, a media company that helps millions of people discover how to spend their nights and weekends in cities across North America. Based in Austin, Kristin helped build DoStuff from the ground up by bootstrapping a network of hyper-local event sites that now spans more than 20 markets. Kristin plays a central role in shaping the company’s structure, driving revenue growth, and ensuring that DoStuff's local markets are supported by sustainable systems and strong leadership. She currently leads four of Dostuff’s core functions: ad revenue, content, operations, and people. From securing national brand partnerships to fostering a company culture where 70 employees are excited to contribute, Kristin bridged creative ambition with operational execution. She focuses on building systems that turn bold, sometimes chaotic ideas into real results. With a background in local media, community building and live events, Kristin has spent her career championing independent promoters, local culture, and the belief that having fun is serious business. A native Austinite, she is also an advocate for sustainable and inclusive business models, including through Cure Studios, a nail salon she co-owns that reimagines the self-care experience.
