Jesse Lauter

Jesse Lauter is a music documentary and concert film director, producer, mix engineer, DJ, and Head of Production & Media for Dayglo Presents, overseeing video and audio across Pete Shapiro’s venues including The Capitol Theatre, Brooklyn Bowl, and new projects like Garcia’s Chicago.
He directed and produced Learning to Live Together: The Return of Mad Dogs & Englishmen (NYT: “a revival,” Variety: “a luscious rock nostalgia trip”), which premiered at Woodstock Film Festival, screened internationally, and won Best Music Film at multiple festivals before being acquired by Criterion Channel and major airlines. He also helmed the concert film Live From The Fox Oakland with Tedeschi Trucks Band and is currently directing a feature doc on Little Feat featuring Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne, Linda Rondstadt, Elvis Costello, Emmylou Harris, and members of the Grateful Dead and Phish.
Beyond film, Jesse has produced acclaimed albums and concerts, including Bob Dylan in the 80s: Volume One (with Built to Spill, Lucius, Gene Ween & Slash) and Sincerely, L. Cohen: A Live Celebration of Leonard Cohen. He also created The Relix Sessions on Twitch and co-leads Dayglo’s Relix Vinyl series. As DJ Uncle Jesse, he has performed at Bonnaroo, Outside Lands, Newport Jazz, and Phish’s Mexico destination event.
Jesse holds a BFA from NYU’s Clive Davis Institute and runs Good Fast Cheap Productions Inc.
