Abbey Londer

Chief Of Staff at Netflix Is A Joke Fest

Abbey Londer is a Los Angeles-based Festival Director and Senior Live Events Producer passionate about bringing premiere and emerging comedic voices to a wide range of audiences. Growing up in the suburbs of Detroit, Abbey studied at Columbia College in Chicago where she cut her teeth in the comedy world.

Abbey became an invaluable leader in the Los Angeles comedy scene in 2012 when she single-handedly developed, funded and produced Riot LA, the city’s first alternative comedy festival. Over five years, Riot LA drew over 30,000 attendees annually in the heart of downtown L.A. with impressive lineups including Ali Wong, Dave Chappelle, Kumail Nanjiani, icon Mel Brooks, and hundreds more.  HBO, Funny or Die, Soundcloud, Squarespace, and Hilton Doubletree were among some of the festival's premiere media and brand partnerships.

Riot LA’s success led Abbey to the Maui Comedy Festival as the Head of Talent Acquisition and a member of its advisory board.  She also spent three years as a Live Events Producer for the public radio station KCRW, where she orchestrated live cultural, music, and news events that ranged from intimate performances to large galas for thousands of attendees.

As Funny or Die’s Executive Producer for Live Events, Abbey created programs for brand partners and developed and produced original live-streaming productions.  In addition, she’s worked with Another Planet Entertainment to curate and produce comedy lineups for huge music festivals such as Outside Lands and Life Is Beautiful, as well as Clusterfest for Comedy Central.

In 2019, Abbey was sought after by the prestigious Just For Laughs organization to book panels for Comedy Pro in Montreal, ComedyCon in Toronto, as well as the New Faces showcase.

Shortly thereafter in 2020, Netflix recruited Abbey to lead its new comedy festival, Netflix Is A Joke as Chief of Staff.  Solely dedicated to overseeing the festival in the Netflix organization, Abbey supported all facets of festival operations for over 250 shows in over 30 venues including booking, marketing, branding, promotion, talent relations, staffing, communications, production, ticketing, etc. Headliners included stars Dave Chappelle, Ali Wong, Chris Rock, John Mulaney, Kevin Hart, Gabriel Iglesias, Bill Burr, Amy Schumer, David Letterman, Conan O’Brien, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Adam Sandler and hundreds more.
